Under the patronage of Professor Ahmad Rabah, Dean of the Lebanese University – Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences, a number of professors from the Geography, Arts and Archeology Departments organized a workshop on "Geomatics & Land Governance".

The workshop, which was held on 14-15 October 2019 at the Faculty Deanship in Dekwaneh, praised the role of the Faculty in spreading knowledge and science in the field of geography, and laid the foundations for cooperation between the Faculty and international universities and organizations, provided that discussions and workshops will be completed later to reach the possibility of opening new Master’s specializations. During the workshop, interventions were recorded by the representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), Mr. Willie Zimmerman, and of Hassan II Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medecine (IAV), Dr. Moha El Ayashi.
