The President of the Lebanese University, Professor Fouad Ayoub appointed Prof. Ghassan Khalil Mourad as Head of the Center for Research & Literary Studies of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences.
Prof. Mourad holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics on Human Sciences (Computational Linguistics) from the Sorbonne University, Paris 4, a Postgraduate Diploma in Language Engineering & Speech Analysis from the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations, Paris, a Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Sciences from the Telesystems Institute, Paris, and a Diploma in Computer Engineering from Sofia University.
Prof. Mourad is a researcher in Computational Linguistics and Digital Media at the Lebanese University. He heads the research team "Translation, Language & Communication Sciences" at the Doctoral School of Letters, Humanities & Social Sciences and coordinates the Information Management Laboratory of the Research Center at the Faculty of Information.
Prof. Mourad was the Director of the Center for Language & Communication Sciences at the Lebanese University, and taught “Informatics for the Human Sciences” at the Sorbonne University, Paris 4 between 1997 and 2014. He has a number of books and articles published in scientific and media magazines. He organized several conferences and is member of local and international scientific bodies.
