The President of the Lebanese University, Professor Fouad Ayoub, issued a decision appointing Prof. Maha Jarjour (full-time professor at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences - Branch 2) as General Coordinator of the Office of Foreign Language Coordination at the Lebanese University.

Prof. Jarjour holds a PhD in Arabic Language & Literature from the Lebanese University and the rank of Professor since 2014. She serves as Coordinator of Arabic Language in the Master’s program at the Deanship of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (FLHS) since 2016, Coordinator of the Research Unit in Arabic Language in the Faculty's Research Center, and Associate Member in the Founding Committee of the joint master in "Russian-Middle Eastern Relations & Interactions" between the FLHS and the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN).

Prof. Jarjour authored a number of critical books, supervises theses and doctoral dissertations. She is also an active member of the editorial and arbitration boards of the digital peer-review journal "University Studies in Letters & Human Sciences", the Quality, Planning & Accreditation Committee in the Lebanese University units, the Research teams at the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences, and the Board of Directors of the International Association of Arabic Language - Dubai.
