Akram Chehayeb, Minister of Education & Higher Education in the Caretaker Government received a delegation of Lebanese University students, who obtained postgraduate scholarships and bachelor’s degrees from Canadian universities.

The students nominated for these scholarships through the Ministry of Education and chosen by Canadian universities based on their high grades are Rehab Al Nabouch and Manar Karim (graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, Branch 1, Civil Engineering), Rawanda Mattar (graduate of the Faculty of Sciences - Master in Financial Mathematics & Actuarial Sciences), Elie Abou Assi (Faculty of Engineering, Branch 2), Muhammad Ali Awwad (Faculty of Engineering, Branch 3) and Pierre Aoun (graduate of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences).

Minister Chehayeb welcomed the students and congratulated them on their excellence, which was the only criterion for their selection, stressing that he is confident of the remarkable level of the Lebanese University students and wished them success in their specializations and in raising high the name of Lebanon.
