The student teams of the Lebanese University - Faculty of Engineering (branches 1 & 2) won the second and third prizes in the NXP Cup Lebanon 2019 - Smart Car Race held on March 30-31, 2019 in the Beirut Digital District, Lebanon.

The Engineering team of Branch 1 (Bashir Abdel Wahed, Freddy Hazzouri and Omar Hamed) ranked in second place with the same number of points of the winning team (700 points), but with a time difference of less than one-third of the second.

The Engineering team of Branch 2 (Charbel Fakhoury and Gilbert Bustros) ranked in third place and achieved 650 points in the race.

The Lebanese University participated with more than ten universities from Lebanon in this event organized by the Mouna Bustros Foundation (FMB), the International Education Association (IEA) and the Beirut Digital District (BDD).
