On the occasion of the International Day of Physical Therapy, the Physical Therapy Department at the Faculty of Public Health (Branch 1) organized a virtual international conference on 8 September 2020 entitled: “How does physical therapy support science?” with the participation of lecturers from France, the United States of America, Switzerland and Lebanon.
The three axes discussed the basic role of physical therapy in the Coronavirus pandemic, sports injuries, back and joint pain, as well as scientific research in the field of physical therapy and the relationship with biomedical engineering, especially in the field of nerves and the brain.
The lecturers reviewed advanced measurement methods for brain activities presented by Dr. Soha Saleh, from the “Kessler Foundation” in the United States, which is a leading institution in the field of research.
The scientific seminars were organized and moderated by Professor Ahmad Al-Rifai Siraj, Head of Physical Therapy Department at the Faculty of Public Health.
