The Lebanese University global ranking in the 2025 QS World University Rankings has risen to 567th in the world, up from 577th in 2024.
Among the six Lebanese universities that meet the QS criteria and were evaluated in the 2025 global rankings, the Lebanese University ranked first locally in both the Employer and Academic Reputation indicators.
It is known that QS uses a number of criteria to rank universities, most notably employer reputation, academic reputation, percentage of professors with PhDs and their teaching experience, student numbers, and networking with research institutions.
The Lebanese University was globally ranked among the first 100 universities in petroleum engineering, the first 150 universities in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, and the first 300 universities in electrical and electronic engineering, according to the 2024 QS University Rankings report.
