Reem Hamad, from the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 1) won the second prize for the best artistic design from "The Cathedral: Beirut Lighthouse" competition, which was organized on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Saint Elias and Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Catholic Cathedral.

Hamad submitted a painting that combined the exterior and interior of the church in a mixed media approach and depicted the church's location in the center of Beirut as a religious, cultural, and community space.

Hamad is a third-year interior engineering student and will pursue a master's degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture.
