Students Diala Badran and Ahmad Abou Daher, from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences (French Section) represented Lebanon and the faculty at the 10th session of the Francophone Youth Parliament held in Montreal, Canada.
With the participation of 80 young people from forty French-speaking countries, the participants discussed in groups the challenges linked to young people and their interests, how to activate their participation in community work and the problems they may face.
Each group presented a report containing constructive suggestions for channeling young people's energies and promoting their integration into social, economic and political life.
The reports were presented to the parliamentarians of the countries concerned, and were adopted and placed on their agendas. In this way, the young people from French-speaking countries taking part in the event proved their capacity for constructive dialogue, and took their first steps into the world of legislation.
