The FFAA celebrates the graduation of its Class of 2023-2024
The Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2023-2024, in a ceremony held at the Branch 2 building, in the presence of President Bassam Badran, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the University's League of Full-Time Professors, Dr. Antoine Charbel, the Faculty's branch directors, a host of professors, administrators, art and media personalities, and the graduates' families.
For his part, President Badran delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the arts industry makes a significant contribution to economic development by creating new and diversified employment opportunities.
Addressing the graduates, he said: “Your years of study have been full of challenges and successes recorded by many of your colleagues at local and international level, and you have proved that you are capable of facing difficulties and succeeding. You have demonstrated boundless creativity and innovation in various artistic fields, some of you excelling in drawing and sculpture, others in design, digital arts, interior architecture, and still others in photography, theater, directing, etc.”
He added: “The diversity of your talents is what makes this graduation ceremony special, and it reinforces our confidence in your ability to shape the world according to your vision, supported by the colors of humanity. Remember that the arts are not just a profession, but rather a noble message that expresses beauty and creativity in our lives. Today, you carry this message, and you will certainly contribute to enriching our local and global communities through your wonderful artistic works.”
Finally, President Badran thanked the faculty and administrative staff, who spared no effort to teach and guide students through the difficult circumstances they faced.
