The Faculty of Engineering celebrates the graduation of Class of 2024–2025
The Faculty of Engineering celebrated the graduation of a new class of students (Class of 2024–2025), in the presence of the University President, Dr. Bassam Badran, the directors of the three branches of the faculty, deputies and representatives of military and security agencies, the presidents of the Order of Engineers and Architects - Beirut and North Lebanon, Fadi Hanna and Shawqi Fatfat, the head of the executive committee of the League of Full-Time Professors at the Lebanese University, Dr. Yahya Al-Rabih, the head of the Council of Delegates, Dr. Daniel Katrib, and the head of the Fund Council, Dr. Rabih Makouk, in addition to the deans and directors of the faculties at the Lebanese University and representatives of academic, educational and industrial bodies and the families of the graduates.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Nazih Moubayed delivered a speech in which he highlighted the faculty's successes in local and international scientific institutions, including the election of one of its faculty members as president of the IEEE Lebanon Section, in recognition of the Faculty of Engineering's status as a hub for academic talent that has proven its presence on the international stage.
Dean Moubayed also highlighted the students' first place win in the NXP Cup competition and their representation of Lebanon in the finals in Amsterdam, in addition to their distinction in the LAUCC competition and other local and international competitions. He also spoke about the partnerships forged by the faculty and its ranking as the top engineering program in Lebanon for 2026 according to the QS World University Rankings.
President Bassam Badran delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the faculty's rise in global quality indicators is international proof of its ability to establish its presence among the world's elite.
