Conditions for admission
Lebanese officers from the Lebanese security agencies, non-commissioned officers of the rank of first lieutenant and above, and civilian students with university degrees in specializations determined by the master's committee are eligible for admission to this master's program.
Arab and foreign officers are accepted after approval of their applications by the Internal Security Forces Directorate.
This agreement shall be valid for a period of five years and shall be automatically renewed with the agreement of both parties.

Students, in collaboration with their academic coordinators, should develop a study plan that enables them to meet all admission requirements for the dual degree program and submit their applications by the deadlines set by the two institutions.
Students participating in the dual degree program are selected by the home institution based on their academic achievement, academic motivation, and language skills.

The agreement (which is valid for five years) aims to define the conditions for implementing a joint master's degree program developed jointly by the two parties, in order to award two degrees to students who have met the program requirements specified in the agreement.
Conditions of eligibility
Students are responsible for travel expenses and compulsory health insurance, in addition to other costs related to accommodation at the partner institution.
Students may apply for a scholarship (French, Lebanese, or European) to cover travel and accommodation costs.
The parties to the agreement are committed to providing technical assistance to students in finding accommodation.
Students at the partner university enjoy the same conditions of access to services as other students.

The agreement (which is valid for five years) aims to implement an exchange program for bachelor's and master's students between the two partner universities.
Students enrolled in the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration at Aix-Marseille University and the Lebanese University will benefit from the agreement.
Eligibility requirements:
Students participating in the exchange program are selected by their home institution based on their academic results.
Applications to the host university should include a CV, a letter of motivation, a copy of the student's most recent degree, and a copy of their transcript.
Students selected by their universities to participate in the exchange program should have sufficient language proficiency to continue their studies at the host institution.
The host university may request proof of language proficiency and reserves the right to reject candidates who do not meet these requirements.
Students should abide by the rules of the host university and the laws of the host country throughout the exchange period.
The two universities agree on the details of the courses that students in the exchange program can attend and the number of credits, while adhering to the training program approved by the host institution.
The list of courses and credits is documented in a study contract.
Knowledge is assessed in accordance with the regulations in force at the host institution.
The host university provides the home university with a transcript at the end of the study period (within a maximum of two months).

Cooperation Agreement between the Lebanese University and the Free University of Brussels
The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement (an addendum to the 2005 agreement) with the Free University of Brussels, which will benefit students.
The agreement (which is valid for five years) aims to strengthen cooperation between the two universities, particularly in terms of student admissions, under the following conditions:
Students at the Free University of Brussels and the Lebanese University must hold a first-class university degree or have obtained at least 180 first-class credits allowing them to enroll in the master’s program in Civil Engineering.
Students from the Lebanese University and the Free University of Brussels should have a first-class university degree or have earned at least 180 first-class credits that allow them to enroll in the fourth and fifth years of the engineering program at the Faculty of Engineering.
Candidates are selected through a written procedure, with the initial selection being made by the home institution and submitted for approval by the host institution. The final decision rests with the host institution's selection committee.
Each party is committed to the procedures and timetables in place at each institution to ensure the reception of transfer students.
The home institution shall ensure that students selected are capable of successfully completing the dual diploma program, paying particular attention to their knowledge of the languages used at the host institution.
Students shall bear the costs of travel, accommodation, and health insurance for the duration of their stay abroad.
Each institution is committed to facilitating the reception of students as much as possible.
Students should comply with the general study regulations and disciplinary regulations in force at each institution.
During the mobility period, students are subject to the disciplinary regulations of the host university.
Courses and assessments taken at the host university are considered equivalent to those taken at the home university.

The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with the French Nantes University to establish a dual diploma program for students and professors in the Faculty of Engineering.
The agreement (which will last for five years) aims to:
Implement measures to develop programs of mutual interest in the field of education and scientific research.
Provide the necessary resources to achieve the objectives set out in the agreement.
Establish a program for obtaining a double degree.
Transfer professors and students within the framework of the dual degree program.

Eligibility requirements for the dual degree program are consistent with the eligibility criteria set by the relevant national authorities.
Students eligible for the program should be in their fourth year in one of the specializations at Polytech Nantes.
The dual degree is intended for students who are proficient in the language of the host country, which is the language of instruction.
Students at the Faculty of Engineering of the Lebanese University should hold a DELF/DALF certificate of at least level B2 and are also required to demonstrate a level of B1 in English.
Polytech Nantes students should demonstrate a B2 level in English, as some courses are taught in English.
Each university accepts up to 14 students per academic year (this number is determined on February 1 before each academic year).

Cooperation Agreement between the Lebanese University and ACTS
The Lebanese University/Doctoral School for Science & Technology, represented by its President, Dr. Bassam Badran, and the Dean of the Doctoral School, Dr. Nazih Moubayed, signed a cooperation agreement with Advanced Construction Technology Services (ACTS), represented by its Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engineer Khaled Awad.
The agreement (which is valid for three years and can be renewed and amended) aims to train PhD students to conduct the necessary tests and examinations in the field of civil engineering, construction materials and soil at the company's branches and to provide all technical and logistical resources necessary for the success of their mission. The two parties will also work to organize workshops, conferences and specialized seminars.
Under the agreement, ACTS will provide an annual scholarship to a PhD student in civil engineering and an annual travel card for the student during the three years of their studies. Members of the company may also supervise PhD dissertations or participate in discussion committees if they meet the academic requirements of the Lebanese University.

Agreement for the manufacture of electronic devices between the Lebanese University and TAGTech.Global
The Lebanese University, represented by its President Dr. Bassam Badran, signed an agreement for the “manufacture, assembly and production of electronic devices” with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh For Technology (TAGTech.Global), represented by the President of the TAG Group, Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh.
The agreement aims to achieve joint cooperation between the two parties to establish, manage, and operate a factory for the manufacturing, assembly, production, marketing, and sale of electronic devices (tablets, laptops, smartphones, etc.).
Under the agreement, the Lebanese University will provide the factory site (location) and human resources (professors, students, and administrators), while TAGTech.Global will finance the project budget and train technical staff and specialists.
The contract is for a period of five years starting from the date of issuance by the President of the Lebanese University of the start of work at the factory, which has already begun on 11 July 2024.

Framework Cooperation Agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Lorraine
The Lebanese University signed a framework cooperation agreement with the University of Lorraine in France, to benefit professors, researchers, and graduate students.
The agreement (which is valid for five years) covers cooperation between the two parties in the following areas:
Education and training
- Developing student and trainee exchanges
- Organizing specific training courses, educational seminars, and face-to-face or distance learning courses
- Organizing joint programs for bachelor's and master's degrees and awarding joint certificates
Research
- Organizing joint conferences and seminars
- Developing joint research programs

Cooperation protocol between the Lebanese University and the Army Command: Master’s degree in military sciences
The Lebanese University signed a cooperation protocol with the Lebanese Army Command regarding the establishment of a master’s degree in military sciences at the Fouad Shehab Command and Staff College, to be administratively and academically linked to the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences.
The master's program aims to:
Prepare officers for leadership roles and expand their military knowledge.
Encourage officers to think critically, individually and as part of a team.
Deepen officers' understanding of the nature of work in the national, strategic, and geopolitical fields and link it to military work.
Prepare officers to pursue future military studies inside and outside Lebanon.
Requirements for admission to the master’s in military sciences:
Lebanese officers who are graduates of the Military Academy (with a degree in military science) are eligible for the master's program, in accordance with conditions set by the Army Command.
Officers from Arab and foreign armies are accepted after the Army Command approves their applications, provided they hold a battalion commander course certificate or its equivalent in their countries.
Candidates are required to study for the master's degree upon acceptance of their administrative registration at the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University.

Cooperation protocol between the Lebanese University and the Lebanese Army Command
The Lebanese University signed a cooperation protocol with the Lebanese Army Command regarding the establishment of university platforms at the Military Academy.
Under the protocol (which is valid for four years and automatically renewable), the Lebanese University will establish platforms within the Military Academy for its students to teach the following subjects:
Geography, linked to the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences.
Management Information Systems, linked to the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration.
Political Science, linked to the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences.
The curricula approved by the Lebanese University faculties will be applied in these platforms.

The Lebanese University signed a mutual cooperation agreement with the University of Granada, which will benefit professors, researchers, and students.

Framework agreement for cooperation between the Lebanese University and Angers University Hospital Center
The Lebanese University signed a framework agreement for cooperation in the field of forensic medicine with Angers University Hospital Center in France, to benefit professors, researchers, and students at the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
The agreement (valid for one year) aims to promote the exchange of researchers and students between the two parties in the field of initial and continuing medical training and research through joint mobility programs.

Cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Rennes (1)
The Lebanese University signed a framework agreement for cooperation with the French University of Rennes (1), which will benefit professors, researchers, and students.
This agreement (initially for a period of five years) expresses the desire of both parties to cooperate on the basis of exchange in the fields of research and evaluation of its results, education and training, and to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and culture.
The parties to the agreement undertake to promote and develop areas of common interest, including:
- Developing and participating in joint research programs.
- Access to scientific knowledge (exchange of documents, publications, seminars, etc.).
- Developing and participating in training programs.
- Exchanging professors, researchers, and teachers.
- Exchanging students.
- Exchanging technical and administrative staff (according to specific needs).
- Participating in other forms of cooperation that strengthen institutions and their staff, including developing relationships with their economic, industrial, social, and cultural environments.

Applied agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Rennes 1
The Lebanese University signed an applied cooperation agreement with the University of Rennes 1 (France), which will benefit students, professors, researchers, and administrative staff at the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences – French Section.
The agreement (with an open term agreed upon by both parties) specifies the administrative, financial, and educational conditions for implementing the international exchange program for students and professors between the two parties.
Conditions for participation
Students applying to the exchange program should be selected in a fair and transparent manner.
Students wishing to participate in this exchange program should:
- Be regularly enrolled at their home institution.
- Be ranked among the top three in their class and/or be selected by the selection committee at the sending institution.
- Be proficient in the language of instruction at the host institution.
- Have completed the first semester of their second, third, or fourth year, or have obtained a master's degree (M1 or M2) in the case of a PhD exchange.
- Submit the application file to the person responsible for monitoring the exchange program.

The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with the American University of Science and Technology (AUST) to promote scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation, benefiting professors, researchers, and students.
The agreement (which is valid for four years and renewable) aims to:
Facilitate cooperation between professors in scientific research and the supervision of dissertations and theses.
Facilitate the exchange of students between the two universities, especially master's students.

Cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and the North Caucasus Federal University
The Lebanese University signed an agreement with the North Caucasus Federal University on scientific, research, and cultural cooperation.
The agreement entered into force on the date of its signing and will remain in force until the partners decide to terminate it.
The agreement, which covers students, professors, and researchers, aims to develop research, educational, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, particularly in the field of Russian language teaching and learning, in addition to enhancing the integration of the scientific and educational environment of higher education institutions in the Caspian Sea region, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
The agreement is open to other institutions and organizations that share the partnership's objectives with the Lebanese University.

Student Exchange Agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Granada
The Lebanese University has signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Granada regarding student exchange.
The agreement (which is valid for four years) aims to establish an exchange program and define the conditions that will apply to students exchanged between the University of Granada and the Lebanese University.
Eligibility
Eligible students should be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs offered by both universities during the academic year in which the exchange program takes place.
The selected student(s) will participate in the exchange program for one semester or one full academic year.
The exchange includes two (2) students per academic year or four students if the exchange period is for one semester, unless a different number is specifically agreed upon by the two institutions.
Students participating in the program should pay all academic fees at their home institution and will be exempt from paying registration fees at the host institution.
Travel, accommodation, living expenses, medical insurance, and other related expenses shall be paid by the student(s), unless the two institutions agree in advance to cover some or all of these costs.
All students should obtain health insurance and travel insurance for the duration of their studies.
Travel expenses should preferably be financed from external funds, provided that the candidates/students meet the requirements for obtaining such funding.

MoU between the Lebanese University and TAG-Translate
The Lebanese University signed a memorandum of understanding with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Translation, Distribution & Publishing (TAG-Translate), which will benefit students and professors at the Center for Languages & Translation (CLT) affiliated with the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences.
The memorandum (which is valid for three years and renewable) aims to:
Cooperate in translation work with top-performing students and professors at the CLT.
Conduct special exams for Lebanese University students and professors who meet the required conditions to assess their translation skills and involve them in projects referred to TAG-Translate.
Conclude separate written agreements with students and professors who have passed the exams.
This MoU is part of the basic cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global dated 18 April 2024.

Research cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and IRD
The Lebanese University signed a framework agreement for scientific and research cooperation with the Institute for Research & Development (IRD), which will benefit researchers from both parties.
The agreement (which will last for five years) aims to:
Establish a framework for cooperation, consultation and information exchange.
Promote and follow up on research, training, expertise and scientific information activities carried out in partnership between the two parties in the following areas:
- Environment and sustainable development.
- Science, engineering, health, applications and society.
- Implementing research programs or specific activities jointly or through designated entities.
- Evaluating research results and transferring technology.
- Training activities for research and capacity building for staff and students.
- Documentation, information, and scientific and technical evaluation.
- Participating in events and activities aimed at evaluating and promoting research.
- Seeking national, regional and international funding.
Joint projects may be open to other parties, including at the regional level.

MoU between the Lebanese University and Al Kut University College
The Lebanese University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) (supplementing the 2015 MoU) with Al Kut University College in Iraq, to boost cooperation in scientific and cultural fields of mutual interest, benefiting professors, researchers, students, administrators, and technicians.

Cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Lorraine
The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with the French University of Lorraine regarding the establishment of a double degree in Basic and Applied Mathematics, to be offered to students.
The agreement (which will last for five years) aims to:
Facilitate and strengthen educational and technical exchanges between the two universities.
Establish a dual master's degree in basic and applied mathematics.
Eligibility
Students accepted to participate in the dual diploma program will be selected by the institution to which they submitted their applications.
Each institution applies its own preliminary selection procedures, and the two partner institutions are committed to transparent and fair procedures based on the academic merit of the candidates.
The final selection of students who can enroll in the double diploma program is based on their files by a selection committee composed of the relevant Master 2 officials at each partner university and the local program administrators, with the approval of the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the Lebanese University
Each partner university commits to accepting a maximum of 12 students per academic year.

MoU between the Lebanese University and RELIEF
The Lebanese University signed a memorandum of understanding with RELIEF, a research center funded by the Economic and Social Research Council in the UK, regarding the implementation of a microbial fuel cell project.
The project involves the use of microorganisms (bacteria) to convert chemical energy into organic materials into electrical energy.
Under the agreement (which is valid for one month), the Lebanese University will collaborate in the implementation of the project through students from the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture, who will contribute to its promotion.

Cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Lorraine
The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Lorraine - France, in the field of engineering, which will benefit students in terms of dual degrees and scientific research.
The agreement (which will last for five years) aims to:
Facilitate and promote educational and technical exchange between the two parties.
Establish dual degrees (engineering and master's) between the two universities.
Conditions for benefiting from the agreement
The parties to the agreement may accept up to five students during the academic year.
Students are selected based on their university grades, language level (B2 in English), and a letter of motivation and CV.
Additional selection stages, such as personal interviews, are conducted to decide on the acceptance of candidates
Students of the Faculty of Engineering/Lebanese University will receive a double degree in engineering from the Lebanese University and the University of Lorraine (according to specific conditions and a pre-established study schedule).

The Lebanese University signed a memorandum of understanding with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG-Global) to benefit professors, researchers, students, and technicians.
The memorandum (valid for one year and renewable) aims to:

Hold joint international conferences in the field of innovation and technical creativity.
Cooperate in the field of scientific research.
Exchange student visits between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global University (TAG-GU) and the Lebanese University.

Under the memorandum of understanding, TAG-GU will adopt the innovative ideas of Lebanese University students in the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAG-KF).

Cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and Quality Systems International
The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with Quality Systems International to promote herbal medicine in Lebanese society.
The agreement (which is renewable for three years) aims to organize training sessions and workshops at the Lebanese University on herbal medicine, targeting teaching staff and students who wish to attend.
Under the agreement, local and foreign donors may be approached to cover the cost of training and workshops.

Cooperation Agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Seville
The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Seville aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two academic institutions at all levels, for the benefit of professors, students, and researchers.
The agreement (which will last for four years) aims to establish and develop cultural and scientific exchange programs on an annual basis, including joint research projects, postgraduate or research programs, and exchanges of professors, researchers, students, and administrative staff.
The agreement also aims to exchange information about institutions and organizational structures, evaluate annual programs, organize courses, seminars, and conferences in which professors from both universities participate, and exchange and disseminate publications and reference materials.

Signing a student exchange agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Strasbourg
The Lebanese University signed a supplementary agreement for student exchange with the University of Strasbourg, which will benefit students at both universities.
The agreement (open-ended and renewable) aims to establish an exchange program that provides students with the opportunity to benefit from the academic programs offered by both universities.
Conditions for benefiting from the agreement
Exchange students from the Lebanese University should have completed at least one academic year at the time of their registration at the University of Strasbourg.
Exchange students from the University of Strasbourg should have completed at least one academic year at the University of Strasbourg at the time of their registration at the Lebanese University.
Students participating in the exchange program should meet the language requirements for their academic stay.
The language level required for candidates accepted at the University of Strasbourg under the exchange program is level B1 in French. Level B2 in French is recommended for students coming to study courses in French.
Obligations of students participating in the exchange program
Obtain an appropriate entry visa from the embassy of the host country.
Pay the registration fees at their home university before the start of the program.
Respect the rules and regulations in force at the host university.
Pay the costs related to their stay (travel, food, accommodation) for the duration of the program
Take out compulsory insurance and pay any medical expenses and provide proof of civil liability insurance.

Second cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and the University of Cordoba
The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Cordoba to strengthen academic ties between the two institutions.
The agreement (which is valid for four years and can be extended) aims to establish educational, academic and cultural relations and student exchanges between the two parties in accordance with the regulations of each university.
It also aims to encourage exchanges between faculty members and researchers at both institutions, with a view to strengthening cooperation in research and other areas.
Conditions for benefiting from the cooperation agreement:
- The maximum number of exchange students per academic year is two (2) per semester.
- Exchange students should be enrolled at their home institution and will not pay annual registration fees at the host institution.
- Prior agreement with each institution on the subjects to be studied.
- Fulfilment of all language requirements stipulated by the host institution (students from the Lebanese University should have at least a B2 level in Spanish).

The Lebanese University signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Cordoba regarding collaboration on multiple levels, benefiting professors, students, and staff.
The agreement (which is valid for four years and can be extended) aims to promote cooperation in the fields of research projects, technological development, joint publications on topics of mutual interest, and the exchange of documents and information.
The agreement also includes training for students (master's level) and training and exchange of staff, as well as the formation of research networks and work on community development projects.

The Lebanese University signed a framework agreement for cooperation with Gustave Eiffel University in France, which will benefit professors, researchers, students, and staff.
The agreement (which will last for five years) aims to establish a framework for developing cooperation and joint projects in higher education and scientific research based on the following elements:

Exchange of students within the framework of study exchange and research training programs, including doctoral students

Cooperation agreement between the Lebanese University and Gustave Eiffel University
The Lebanese University has signed a cooperation agreement with Gustave Eiffel University in France, which will benefit Lebanese University students.
The agreement (which will last for three years) aims to:
Contribute to increasing the number of Lebanese students and improving their training opportunities.
Strengthen international cooperation, particularly research cooperation between the two parties.
Facilitate the preparation of students in terms of language skills and level of knowledge in science and technology so that they can study abroad in good conditions.
Eligibility
For Lebanese University students applying for the second year of a master's program, the minimum required level of French or English is C1.
Candidates should receive a positive evaluation during video interviews focused on assessing their proficiency in French and/or English

The International Relations Office at the Lebanese University is responsible for promoting academic and research cooperation with local and international universities and institutions, coordinating the conclusion and renewal of cooperation agreements within a strategy that enhances the exchange of experiences and cultures in various fields of higher education. The Office works to promote the exchange of researchers, professors, students and staff, establish bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements, participate in international research and study projects, prepare European projects, join international higher education organizations and networks, and participate in the organization of international cultural and scientific events (seminars, conferences, reception of delegations, etc.). It also seeks to strengthen the university's relationship with its community through cooperation with Lebanese ministries, municipalities, agencies, and institutions.
Studying applications for the Lebanese University's affiliation (received from various faculties after approval by the President of the University) to organizations and university bodies concerned with higher education, scientific research, or cultural and academic activities at the local, regional, and international levels. Following up on preparations to secure the University's participation in national, regional, international, and Euro-Mediterranean projects aimed at exchanging and developing academic programs, provided that the participation and cooperation procedures are carried out after the President of the University approves the project submitted to him exclusively by the International Relations Office. Coordinating and organizing grant applications received from various university faculties and those related to academic, administrative, and student exchange programs with various embassies and official and academic bodies, both public and private, and submitting them to the President of for approval.
