Signature of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Lebanese University and the Association of Lebanese Women Researchers
Rector Bassam Badran signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lebanese Association of Women Researchers (Bahithat), represented by its Secretary General, writer Jean Said Makdessi.
The MoU aims at defining a framework of cooperation between the newly established Center of Sustainability and Gender Equality (CSGE) at the Lebanese University within the framework of the FREE Erasmus Plus project, and the Lebanese Association of Women Researchers, in order to develop activities that have a social impact on the Lebanese society, and that could constitute a cornerstone in building a sustainable society of peace, equality and prosperity.
The MoU also aims at enabling gender equality and sustainability in the Lebanese society and the region through networks, training programs, awareness campaigns, joint management of events and manifestations, and research related to the promotion of sustainability and gender equality.
