Application dates and entrance exam for M1 and M2 at the FEBA for 2026–2027

The Dean of FEBA, Professor Selim Mekdessi, announces that applications are now open for admission to M1 and M2 —including both professional and research master’s degrees—for the academic year 2026–2027, as follows:

1- Entrance Exam Date

Saturday, 26 September 2026, at the Rafik Hariri University Campus - Hadath, in the FEBA building, according to a schedule to be announced later.

2- Application Submission

Applications for M1 and M2P, and M2R will be accepted from noon on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, until noon on Thursday, 17 September 2026.

Applications should be submitted as follows:

- Applications for M2P: at one of the faculty branches: Branch 1, 2, or 3.

- Applications for M2R: at the deanship in Hadath.

- Applications for M1 for students from other universities who meet the major requirements, and for LU students from other faculties: at all branches of the faculty.

3- Application Process

Applications are submitted via online portal FSEG.UL.EDU.LB/MASTER, where applicants should fill out required information and upload copies of the following documents:

- For faculty graduates

  • Certificate of completion of M1 and M2 candidates
  • Individual civil status record or certified copy thereof issued by the Civil Registry Office in 2025 or 2026, or a passport or residence permit for foreign nationals

- For graduates of other universities and other faculties of the Lebanese University, for M1 and M2 candidates

A bachelor’s degree completion certificate for M1 candidates

  • Bachelor’s degree and M1 completion certificate, totaling four years or 120 ECTS credits or the equivalent, for M2 candidates
  • An individual civil status record or certified copy thereof from the Civil Registry Office, issued in 2025 or 2026, or a passport or residence permit for foreign nationals
  • Equivalency of bachelor’s degree certificate from the Committee for the Recognition of University Degrees at the Ministry of Education & Higher Education for students of private universities (A provisional certificate issued by the Committee for the Recognition of University Degrees at the Ministry of Education is accepted. Students who pass the entrance exam but fail to submit the equivalency certificate for their degree will not be permitted to register later).

After filling out required information online and uploading all required documents, the applicant should print the application form.

3-1. Two business days after the application is submitted on the website:

- The student should complete registration by visiting the relevant deanship in Hadath for research master’s programs, or the geographic branch they have selected for M1 and M2P, bringing the following documents:

  • Printed copy of application form submitted online.
  • (2) Two certified passport photos and matching the photo on the individual civil status record
  • Financial stamp worth LBP 50,000

3-2. The student should obtain a fee payment receipt issued by the Student Affairs Department and pay the entrance exam registration fee of LBP 1,000,000 at any LibanPost branch.

3-3. The exam card is issued to the student three days before the exam date (at the Deanship in Hadath for M2R, and at the geographical branch where the student is registered for M1 and M2P)

4- Majors

- Professional master’s programs include the following majors: Finance, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Accounting and Auditing, Management, International Economics and Finance, and Financial and Banking Economics. These majors are taught in either French or English.

- Research master’s programs include the following majors: Management and Marketing, and Accounting and Finance. Students should be proficient in both French and English.

- Students in M1 - Economics may sit the entrance exam for the research master in Finance.

- Attached is a link to the list of majors and languages available in each department.

Additional Information

  • Students in the faculty automatically advance from the Bachelor’s degree to M1 if they have completed all bachelor’s courses at the FEBA, i.e., 180 ECTS credits
  • An entrance exam is held for students applying to M2P, after exempting only the top 35% of the faculty’s students for the academic year 2025–2026, in each department and each major at the M1 level.
  • An entrance exam is held for all students applying to the M2R.
  • An entrance exam will be held to all students transferring from other universities and applying to M1 and M2.
  • Faculty students holding a degree under the old system, as well as students from other universities who have completed four years of study, are permitted to take the entrance exam for both the M2P and M2R.
  • Regarding changing tracks, students in the following majors—Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Finance, and Accounting—who have completed their bachelor’s degree are permitted to switch to the Management or Marketing track in the M1, provided they pass the entrance exam. Please note that they are subsequently permitted to apply only to M2P program and are not permitted to apply to the research master’s program.
