The faculty/staff of the Lebanese University are invited to join Centre MINE seminar organized by HECD, “Women’s Equity and Empowerment” which is scheduled on Thursday 19th November 2020 at 3:00 pm Beirut time.
The presentation explores the concepts of gender equity and empowerment as they relate to women in higher education (and other contexts) around the world and specifically in Lebanon. Achieving equity and empowerment requires that we reflect more purposefully on the structures and organizations that maintain the status quo. Together we will discuss our thoughts on empowerment and share ideas on strategies and steps that might be needed to empower Lebanese women.
Target audience: All staff
The seminar will be facilitated by EDC STTA Dr. Robin DePietro-Jurand
