President Bassam Badran held a coordination meeting with the deans of faculties and institutes, during which they discussed administrative and technical procedures for the resumption of in-person teaching and a full assessment of the damage caused to certain branches of the university.
After deliberation, the meeting reached the following decisions:
- Resumption of in-person teaching and laboratory work in faculties and branches 2 and 3 of the university that did not receive displaced persons from areas subjected to Israeli aggression from 2/12/2024.
- Adopt in-person teaching for applied subjects (laboratory) in all faculties and institutes of the Lebanese University from 9/12/2024.
- Ask the directors of the university sections affected by the Israeli aggression to carry out a complete study of the damage and the necessary needs by 7/12/2024 at the latest, with a view to re-establishing in-person teaching.
The University Presidency will keep its meetings open in order to keep abreast of the requirements and progress of academic work, and to announce any changes in the proposed teaching mechanisms.
