·         Oil & Gas : service and supply company to clients in the oil industry

·         Trading : Importer and stockist of structural steel products

·         Construction: Main contractor for various private and public sector projects ( buildings construction)

Job Role:

Senior Accountant

Main tasks include:

1.     Record detailed entries related to purchases, sales and operating expenses in addition to depreciating assets using a combination of software and excel tools

2.     Record and manage cash and bank accounts in addition to reconciling inter-branch and inter-company accounts

3.     Manage inventory records and supervise periodic spot checks for physical counts to reconcile differences between warehouse records and system

4.     Monitor client receivables, remittance advises and bank commitments in addition to logging payables, reconciling balances and generating aging reports

5.     Classify overheads by cost center (departments) and sub cost center (business unit)

6.     Update, amortize and properly schedule periodic contracts like prepaid income, accrued expenses

7.     Analyze data entry vouchers, statements, and trial balance data and report unusual balances

8.     Track, identify, and resolve accounting bottlenecks using software or spreadsheets

9.     Summarize financial status by collecting information and generating models

10.  Secure financial information by analyzing data and resolving discrepancies based on GAAP

11.  Managing the financial cycle and completing year end audit for purpose of issuing financial statements

Requirements:

Education                      :  Bachelor degree in Business, Major Accounting

Professional experience: 7-10 years of experience in accounting

Required Skills              : Strong organizational skills and attention to details

                                             Aptitude to engage superior in methodical analysis of the accounts

                                        Familiar with cost control concepts, budgeting, and gross margin analysis

                                             Experience in tax return (VAT, income tax return, personnel taxes etc..)

Computer Proficiency:  Proficiency in MS Office

                                         Experience in accounting software (Dolphin or others…)                                    

                                         Experience in ERP systems is a plus

Languages: Excellent command of English language, French is a plus
