The “BioBeirut 9” conference on Immunology & Cancer Diseases held its ninth edition, in the Rafic Hariri University Campus - Hadath (Conference Hall) organized by the Faculties of Science, Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, University Medical Center, and the Doctoral School of Science & Technology of the Lebanese University on 19-20 December 2019.

The conference took place in the presence of MP Dr. Fadi Alamé, spokesperson of Speaker Nabih Berri, the Lebanese University President, Prof. Fouad Ayoub, Deans Bassam Badran, Pierre Yared, Fawaz El Omar, Hassana Bou Haroun, Assem El Kak, Vice-President of the Lebanese Order of Physicians, Dr. Doureid Oueidat, Colonel Mitri El Nemr, Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, representatives of the security forces, in addition to professors and students.

On this occasion, Professor Fouad Ayoub pointed out that the depth of health care issues is important in a time when many causes and factors have contributed to the spread of many diseases, namely cancer.

MP Dr. Fadi Alamé, delivered a speech on behalf of Speaker Nabih Berri, in which he expressed his great confidence in the potential and determination of the Lebanese University to assist in saving the country from its current crisis.
