In cooperation with the Municipality of Furn el Chebbak - Ain el Remmaneh - Tehwitat el Nahr, the Lebanese University - Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 2) organized an environmental day to launch a waste sorting project in the Faculty.

The environmental day, which aims to spread clean and sustainable environmental awareness at the university level in particular and the country in general, was attended by Mr. Raymond Semaan, President of the Municipal Council and President of Union Municipalities of South Metn, who contributed to providing containers and coordinating with “City Blu” foundation to periodically collect sorted waste.

The event was also attended by Dr. Antoine Charbel, Faculty Director, representing the Faculty Dean, Heads of Academic Departments, Professor Carole Ziadeh Ajami, Coordinator of Environmental Project, and a group of professors, employees and students.

After the speeches explaining the work mechanism and the educational, social and environmental objective, the attendees participated in a cleaning and sorting campaign in the Faculty.
