The Lebanese University is proud of its alumnus, Dr. Jawad Fares (MSc ’16), for featuring in the Forbes Middle East’s 30 Under 30 for the second year in a row.
The Middle East’s 30 Under 30 list features the region’s youth who are advancing the fields of science, business, sports, arts and culture, and whose technological innovations have earned global acclaim.
Dr. Fares was honored for his contribution to solving healthcare problems in Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Dr. Fares finished his master’s degree with high distinction from the Neuroscience Research Center of the Lebanese University, where he conducted most of his notable research work.
His polyvalent contributions entailed conflict medicine, neuroscience, and global health. In 2018, he was selected as one of the top 10 young scientists in the world by the premier biotech journal, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology News.
