The Lebanese University - Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences hosted an international conference on "Pottery Puppets in Lebanon from the Hellenistic and Roman Periods", with the participation of the Archeology Research Team headed by Dr. Zeina Fani, Dean Muhammad Mohsen, and professors of archeology at the Lebanese University.

The two-day conference in Beirut was attended by Mr. Michel Mouton, Director of the French Institute for the Near East (Ifpo), Mr. Sarkis Khoury, Director of the General Directorate of Antiquities at the Ministry of Culture, Ms. Philippa Pearce from the British Museum, Mrs. Helen Le Meaux, Director of the Antiquities Department at the Louvre Museum, Professor Rolf Stucky from Basel University in Switzerland, Dr. Leila Bader, Director of the Archaeological Museum at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Dr. Dominique Kassab Tözgur from Bilkent University in Ankara, Dr. Mariana Castiglione from Calabria University in Italy, Professor Ali Badawi in charge of the archaeological site of Tyre, in addition to a large number of master's and PhD students at the Lebanese University who participated through research papers.

The conference discussed archaeological discoveries in Lebanon through pottery dolls and their relationship to the identification of music in Phoenicia, in addition to researching international museums' dolls assets and methods of restoration and preservation.
