The Director of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 2) at the Lebanese University, Dr. Marwan Abi Fadel, presented a seminar organized by the Research Team in History at the Doctoral School of Letters, Humanities & Social Sciences entitled: “About the Phoenician History” on 19 February 2020.

Dr. Abi Fadel, a specialist in "ancient history" and a member of the Research Team in History, focused on the Phoenician heritage, and highlighted the most important direct and indirect sources thereof.

In the presence of the Head of the Research Team in History, Dr. Juliette Al Rassi and a number of PhD students from various specializations, Dr. Abi Fadel explained how to adopt a critical analytical method in historical writing, and discussed the limited Phoenician archives and conflicting theories on a number of topics of this history.
