
Students from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences (Branch 2) visited the National Anti-Corruption Commission/Beirut, in the company of Dr. Akl Akl.
The meeting, attended by the commission's vice-chairman, Dr. Fawaz Kabbara, Dr. Thérèse Allawi, and Dr. Kleib Kleib, discussed the commission's tasks, such as accepting complaints relating to the non-application of the Access to Information Act, receiving whistleblower reports and ensuring their protection, and processing and auditing permits in accordance with the Illicit Enrichment Act.
The meeting also discussed working mechanisms for recovering funds resulting from corruption crimes, prosecuting violations, investigating and bringing cases before the judiciary, imposing travel bans and lifting bank secrecy.
