President Bassam Badran received in his office the Minister of Agriculture, Nizar Hani, accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry, Louis Lahoud, the Head of the Ministry's Cabinet, Pascal Milan, and the Head of the Ministry's Administrative Department, Samer Khawand.

The deans Nadine Nassif and Ali Kanj, the coordinator of the International Relations Office, Dr. Véronique Kaspard, and the media advisor, Dr. Ali Rammal, attended the meeting on behalf of the Lebanese University.

Both parties discussed the activation of cooperation between the Lebanese University and the Ministry of Agriculture, particularly in terms of research and scientific studies that would improve the agricultural situation.

Minister Nizar Hani, who is a professor at the Faculty of Agronomy, presented his Ministry's orientation strategy and its agricultural extension program.

For his part, President Badran praised the existing relations with the Ministry of Agriculture, emphasizing the university's permanent and continuous availability to provide ministries with scientific expertise, as well as available specializations and technological experiences to develop modern agriculture.

President Badran also expressed his desire to relaunch the reforestation campaign in the areas damaged by the recent Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
