Under the patronage and in the presence of the Dean of the Lebanese University - Faculty of Technology, Professor Mohammad Al Hajjar, and in cooperation with the Lebanese Information Technology Association (LITA), the Master of Communication Systems Engineering and the Department of Network Engineering & Telecommunication of the Faculty in Saida organized a workshop on cybersecurity entitled "Methods to Prevent DNS Penetration & Abuse".

The workshop attended by professors, students and officers from various security bodies (Army, General Security, and State Security), included lectures by specialists from the “Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers” (ICANN) and a team from “Potech Consulting”.

Dean Al Hajjar started with a welcome speech, in which he explained the importance and objectives of the workshop, especially since the discussion focused on cybersecurity protection methods, and called for organizing more scientific events that assist in the development of academic work and contribute to the exchange of expertise and knowledge.

The workshop included practical applications on computers and a scientific discussion between the attendees and lecturers about real-life penetration issues in cybersecurity and methods of prevention.
