In order to support scientific research and because of its importance in the Institute of Social Sciences, the former deputy, Dr. Amal Abu Zeid presented two educational scholarships to outstanding students in the second year of the Research Master’s degree in the Department of Anthropology.
The two outstanding students are Afif Al Rahawi and Hussein Ibrahim Chamseddine, whose research thesis focused on the South Lebanon Governorate.
Dr. Abu Zeid handed over the two scholarships on 13 February 2020 at the Deanship of the Institute of Social Sciences in the presence of the Institute Dean, Dr. Marleine Haydar, Head of the Anthropology Laboratory at the Research Center of the Institute, Dr. Nada Tawil, and Head of the Department of Economic, Social, Human and Population Development (Branch 5), Dr. Howaida Turk.
