Applications now open for the joint master in strategic studies between the LU and the Lebanese Army for 2026–2027
The Center for Strategic Research & Studies of the Lebanese Army and the Deanship of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences announce that applications are now being accepted for the entrance exams to select students for the joint master's program in strategic studies, organized in collaboration between the faculty and the Lebanese Army (Information about the Master’s program is available on the Lebanese University website: droit.edu.lb and the Lebanese Army website: lebarmy.gov.lb)
Those wishing to enroll in the aforementioned master’s program should submit their applications to the deanship of the faculty, located in Tayouneh—Sami al-Solh Street—Center Celine—above OMT offices) 9th floor, or submit applications in person at the Center for Strategic Research & Studies in Rihaniyeh.
1. Application Period: Applications will be accepted between 13 July 2026 and 24 September 2026.
2. Admission Requirements for the Master’s Program:
a. FLPAS students:
- Holding a bachelor’s degree in Law, Political and Administrative Sciences with a grade of 12/20 or higher for graduates of the Lebanese University, or holding more than one bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in French or English in addition to Arabic.
b. All other students:
- Holding a bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Political and Administrative Sciences, or related fields (History, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, etc.) with a grade of 12/20 or higher for graduates of private universities, in accordance with the Lebanese University’s admission criteria.
- Proficiency in French or English in addition to Arabic.
3 - Attachments
The following documents should be attached to the application:
a. CV
b. University diplomas (if the diploma is from a private university, it should be officially recognized by the Ministry of Education)
c. (2) Two passport photos
d. Copy of ID card
e. Baccalaureate diploma – (Section II) (or certified copy thereof)
4- Fule Study
- The Joint Administrative Committee for the master’s program reviews the applications and announces the names of students accepted for the oral interview.
- Applicants undergo an oral interview conducted by the Joint Administrative Committee at the Center for Research & Strategic Studies
- Accepted students may view the results posted on the door of the FLPAS deanship and at the faculty branch locations. Those accepted to sit for the exams will be notified via email
5. Exams
Exams will be held at the Fouad Shehab Command and Staff College (CSC) - Rihaniyeh on the following dates:
- General subject exam on 28 September 2026 at 9:00 am
- French or English language exam on 28 September 2026 at 11:00 am
- Oral interview on 28 September 2026 at 1:00 pm
6- Announcement of Results: Results will be announced within two weeks of the exam dates. A copy will be posted on the door of FLPAS deanship, at the faculty’s branches, and on the websites of the Lebanese University (droit.ul.edu.lb) and the Lebanese Army (lebarmy.gov.lb) and at the Center for Research & Strategic Studies. Successful applicants will be notified via email, while military personnel will be notified of the results via internal telegram.
7. Registration
- Students admitted to the FLPAS should register in accordance with the administrative guidelines issued by the Lebanese University
- Registration fees are in accordance with the rates approved by the Lebanese University
8- Start of Classes: Classes begin on 7 October and are held three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) in the afternoon.
