Forestation campaign at the Institute of Social Sciences - Branch 3
The Institute of Social Sciences – Branch 3 hosted an environmental activity in which the “North Lebanon Star” Club – Zgharta presented forest seedlings to the Institute, in an initiative that reflects a shared commitment to the values of sustainable development and social responsibility.
Branch Director Dr. Wadiha El Amiouni praised the initiative, which combines environmental and educational dimensions, suggesting that each tree be named after a concept from sociology. Thus, the Institute’s garden was transformed into a symbolic and intellectual space linking nature with thought through the concepts of: Solidarity, Justice, Identity, Belonging, Family, Citizenship, Dialogue, Development, Sustainability, and Innovation.
Dr. El Amiouni noted that this initiative allows students to reflect on the relationship between humans, the environment, and society, and embodies the idea that knowledge, like a tree, grows patiently, takes root in the ground, and bears fruit to serve humanity.
The Institute’s administration thanked the "North Lebanon Star" Club, represented by its president, Mr. Jihad Al-Ariji, Mr. Reda Shaheen, and instructor Badra Al Toulani.
