Registration open for joint master between LU and ISF for the academic year 2026–2027
As part of efforts to strengthen academic and security cooperation between the Lebanese University and the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, and with a view to develop national expertise in the fields of security, justice, and governance, the Deanship of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences and the Internal Security Forces Academy announce that applications are now open for admission to the joint master’s program in Security Sciences for the academic year 2026–2027.

Those wishing to enroll should submit their applications to the deanship of the faculty in Jal El Dib or in person at the Internal Security Forces Institute in Aramoun—Training Branch.
1- Application Period
Applications will be accepted from 15 July 2026 through 15 September 2026.
2- Admission requirements
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in law, political science, business administration, social sciences, or a field related to security studies, or an equivalent degree in accordance with the regulations in effect at the Lebanese University.
Any student holding a bachelor’s degree in a field other than those mentioned in the previous clause may submit an application provided they attach a statement explaining their objectives for pursuing this master’s program.
The applicant should have met the academic requirements for admission to the master’s program at the Lebanese University.
The applicant should be proficient in one of the foreign languages accepted by the program (French or English).
Civilian students should complete both M1 and M2, while military personnel who have completed M1 may proceed directly to M2.
3. Required Documents
The following documents should be attached to the application:
1. Copy of ID or individual civil status record for civilians, or approved administrative document for military personnel
2. Copy of familial civil status record
3. Criminal record extract for civilian applicants
4. Certified copy of required university degree and an official transcript
5. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
6. Motivation letter explaining reasons for wishing to pursue the program and the applicant’s goals
4. File Review
- The joint master’s program management committee reviews the applications and verifies that they meet the required criteria
- The committee will invite candidates whose applications are accepted to a personal interview at a later stage, at a time and place to be determined
- The names of accepted candidates will be announced in accordance with the procedures approved by the Lebanese University and the Internal Security Forces
5- Study System
The program spans four semesters and includes specialized courses in the following fields:
- National and International Security
- Criminal Justice
- Cybercrime and Cybersecurity
- Leadership and Decision-Making
- Strategic Planning
- International Police Cooperation
- Crisis Management and Law Enforcement Operations
- International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Justice
The program is taught in Arabic, with one course per semester offered in French and English. It combines academic and practical dimensions through the contributions of university professors, officers, and experts from the Internal Security Forces.
6- Announcement of Results and Start of Classes
- Results will be announced in October, with a copy posted on the door of the deanship and the branches and on the websites of the Lebanese University (droit.ul.edu.lb) and the Internal Security Forces (isf.gov.lb). Successful applicants will be notified via email.
- Military personnel will be notified of the results via an internal telegram.
- Classes will begin on 10 October 2026, at the Internal Security Forces Institute in Aramoun.
7- Registration
Admitted students will register in accordance with the regulations and procedures adopted by the Lebanese University, and tuition fees will be paid in accordance with the financial regulations in effect.
