Statement Issued by the Presidency of the Lebanese University (Setting dates for the resumption of studies)
President Bassam Badran held a coordination meeting with the deans of the faculties and institutes, during which they discussed administrative and technical procedures in preparation for the resumption of the academic year, as well as cooperation agreements with foreign universities that have joint schedules with certain faculties of the Lebanese University.
Following deliberations, and despite the difficulties and harsh conditions resulting from the ongoing Israeli aggression, the participants decided to begin remote learning to complete the academic year 2025 – 2026 in all faculties, institutes, and branches of the Lebanese University during the period from Monday, 16 March 2026, until Monday morning, 23 March 2026, at the latest, depending on the readiness of each faculty or institute.
The Presidency will keep its meetings open to address the requirements and ensure the smooth running of university studies, and announce any changes in teaching mechanisms.
May God protect Lebanon, its people, and its national university.
