At the Lebanese University and inside a startup factory, tablets are now being made with a local signature. The project is the first in Lebanon to restore hope to the local industry and announce the birth of a national technological achievement. Between 100 and 120 tablets are assembled daily by students from the Faculty of Engineering at the Lebanese University under the supervision of their professors.

“As we are working on the assembly of tablets according to the orders sold, at the same time we are working on Avway Beast, of course with Dr. Hassan Al-Sharim on Arms Robot. We are planning to make automation for the lab to make the work easier and enable us to produce more quantities.

This initiative combines education and production, ambition and action.

“The orientation of the university is to move from a teaching and research university to a teaching, research and productive university. Today, ideas are coming one after the other to seriously reach at least self-sufficiency, so that this country can no longer import things that we can assemble here, and later, and most importantly, we can come up with startups that prepare parts of these tablets,” said Dr. Badran.

The agreement between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group and the Lebanese University is not only a technical partnership but an exceptional step towards empowering youth and transforming ideas into products.

“Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh was keen to have the factory inside the Lebanese University campus to support our economy and reduce unemployment, and these are the young people from the university who work with these tablets.”

“These tablets are assembled here. Some of the things we do are part of a whole process, where we teach our students the process of production. We teach them about industry and strengthen the local economy. The importance of this product is that if it is made for us, it is fixed for us at the university.”

So, the Lebanese tablets are ready to enter the market at very competitive prices.

في الجامعة اللبنانية وداخل مصنع ناشئ، تصنع اليوم أجهزة tablets  بتوقيع محلي. مشروع هو الأول في لبنان يعيد الأمل للصناعة المحلية ويعلن ولادة إنجاز تكنولوجي وطني. بين 100 و120 جهازا يُجمّع يوميا بأياد طلاب وطالبات من كلية الهندسة في الجامعة اللبنانية وبإشراف أساتذتهم.

"كماان عم نعمل Assembly لـTablets حسب الطلبات المبيع، بنفس الوقت عم نشتغل على أفواي بيست طبعا مع دكتور حسن الشريم على روبوت أرمز. بركي نعمل أوتوميشن للمعمل بصير الشغل أسهل ومقدر نطلع كميات أكتر".

هذه المبادرة تجمع بين التعليم والإنتاج وبين الطموح والعمل.

"التوجه بالجامعة للانتقال من جامعة تدريسية وبحثية لجامعة تدريسية بحثية ومنتجة. واليوم الأفكار جاي واحدة وراء الثانية لنوصل عن جد لاكتفاء على الأقل ذاتي، أنه هالبلد نبطل نقدر نستورد الأشياء اللي منقدر نجمعها هون، ولاحقًا وهيدا الأهم نقدر نطلع بشركات ناشئة تتجهز أجزاء من هالـtablets".

الاتفاقية بين مجموعة طلال أبو غزالة والجامعة اللبنانية ليست فقط شراكة تقنية بل خطوة إستثنائية نحو تمكين الشباب وتحويل الأفكار إلى منتجات.

"كان حريص عليه الدكتور طلال أبو غزالة أنو إجاء المصنع داخل حرم الجامعة اللبنانية لدعم اقتصادنا والحد من البطالة وهيك من الشباب اللي هني من الجامعة هني اللي يشتغلوا بهيدي الـtablets".

"هول الـtablets هني عم بيكونوا تجميع هون. في عنا أشياء نحنا عم نعملها هي ضمن Procession كاملة، بيفوتوه تلاميذنا بالـProcess تبع الإنتاج. عم بيفوتوه بالصناعة وعم نقوي شي المحلي. أهمية هيدا Product إنو هو معمول عنا بيخرب بيتصلح عنا بالجامعة".

إذاً الـtablets اللبناني أصبح جاهزا ليدخل السوق بأسعار تنافسية جدا.
