The Faculty of Pedagogy organized its annual conference titled "Transformations of Education in the Age of AI - Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects" under the patronage and presence of Judge Abbas Halabi, Minister of Education & Higher Education in the caretaker government.

Researchers from the AUB, LAU, LIU, Balamand University, USJ, the Lebanese University of Science and Letters, the Islamic University of Lebanon, the University of Tripoli, the Educational Center for Research and Development, and a number of Egyptian, Iraqi, Tunisian, Moroccan, Omani and French universities participated in the conference, which was held at the Central Administration Building of the Lebanese University/Museum.

The conference opened with a speech by the head of the Center for Research & Educational Studies at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Dr. Iman Khalil, who pointed out that the aim of the conference is to mobilize the efforts of researchers from the Lebanese University and higher education institutions to discuss the challenges we all face.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Dr. Khalil Al-Jammal, said that the use of artificial intelligence in education and educational management has become a reality, and therefore it has become imperative for the education sector to keep pace with the development and rapid spread of artificial intelligence and benefit from its tools and applications.

In his speech, Dr. Bassam Badran, President of the Lebanese University, stressed the importance of the conference title as a starting point for new research, considering that AI is a powerful tool for improving and developing the educational process, which requires educational programs that take into account the learner's abilities and needs through the production of innovative and attractive educational content.

For his part, Minister Halabi praised the role of the Lebanese University and the educational and research prospects it offers to its students and the generations of graduates who have distinguished themselves in their specialties in the labor market.
