The Lebanese University takes part in the launch of the Interreg NEXT MED program in Lebanon

The Lebanese University participated in the launch of Interreg NEXT MED program as a partner in CAREMED project, thereby strengthening its capacity to support sustainable and resilient health initiatives in the Mediterranean region.

Interreg NEXT MED program is among the projects recently approved in Lebanon. It was launched at an event titled "Cooperating for a Resilient Mediterranean", which focused on how to contribute to shared regional priorities.

Alongside representatives from international partners and project teams from academic circles, civil society, local authorities, and the private sector, the Lebanese University participated in two-day training sessions focused on essential aspects of project implementation including financial rules, reporting, procurement procedures and communication obligations—key to aligning project activities with Interreg NEXT MED quality standards and EU requirements.

The Lebanese University’s participation in this event reflects its active engagement in Euro-Mediterranean transnational cooperation and its commitment to advancing innovation, sustainability, and inclusive development across the region.
