The Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences (Branch 3) has opened the mock trial room, under the patronage and in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Baris Ulusoy, and President Bassam Badran.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of legal and academic figures.
The first of its kind in Lebanon, the hall, which was created by the TIKA Foundation, was named the "Mahmoud Abdel Majid Al Maghribi and Ahmad Jawdat Bacha Hall for Mock Trials" in recognition of their intellectual and scientific contributions.
For his part, President Badran appreciated the cooperation of Turkey represented by its ambassador, his working team and the TIKA Foundation in the success of this project, noting the importance of supporting students in the classroom and through the establishment of laboratories and sites for training and investigation.
As for the Turkish ambassador, he underlined the role played by the TIKA Foundation in Lebanon through its contribution to a number of projects in which it cooperates with the Lebanese University.
Stressing the importance of cooperation between Turkey and Lebanon, the Turkish ambassador expressed his full readiness to help the Lebanese university in whatever way it needed.
