Branch 4 of the Faculty of Public Health was established and started operation in Zahle in 1989 in order to contribute to the health and scientific development in various Lebanese regions.

A decision was issued on 21 September 2016, to establish Rashaya section affiliated to Branch 4, and teaching began during the academic year 2017-2018 in the field of Nursing Sciences, and then Midwifery was added thereto.
