
The Institute of Fine Arts & Architecture began in Tripoli as a division in 1980 and later became a branch in 1985.
Before the adoption of the BMD system, the Institute granted a diploma in postgraduate studies after 5 academic years. Following the adoption of the European system, the Institute, which became a Faculty in 2017, is granting a bachelor and a master's degree in four specializations (Architecture, Interior Design, Advertising Arts, and Plastic Arts). The Faculty also grants a specialized master’s degree in Restoration.
