The Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences was inaugurated after the outbreak of the Lebanese war in 1975. Branch 2 was established in Baabda in 1976. A year later, Branch 2 was transferred to the Lazarist Building in Fanar, which consists of three buildings, one of which includes an Art and Archeology Laboratory and a Geography Laboratory.
The Faculty includes eight specializations:
1- Arabic Language and Literature
2- French Language and Literature
3- English Language and Literature
4- Arts and Archeology
5- Psychology
6- History
7- Geography
8- Philosophy.
