Branch 5 of the Faculty of Public Health was established in 1987, and because of its location in Saida, it was able to attract students from various regions of the South and Mount Lebanon.

Branch 5 was later able to supply the region with a large number of graduates in urgent and necessary specializations for its health sector, thus contributing to the process of sustainable development in the South district.
